Anyone out there using Chromecast?

I thought it to be a neat little wifi device for the price. But I
can't get it to do what I need it to do, and what web posts say it
can do - namely mirror a full W7 PC screen to my TV. Has anyone
successfully done that? If so can you tell me how?
There are several web posts describing how to do it. For example:
http://www.droid-life.com/2013/07/26...not-just-tabs/

I do have my Chromecast partially working. I can 'cast' Youtube movie
clips from my PC to TV just fine. Same for Google Chrome clips.

Maybe I am missing something?

Thanks

Did you find the "down arrow" in the upper right hand corner ?

Oh yeh. After my post I found that I was able to do this on my
Galaxy tablet, So if I can't get my PC to work its no loss.

Looks very interesting!
I have a flatscreen led TV Philips 32PFL3517H which I normally use to watch
satellite receiver through a HDMI cable.
It also has a (proprietary) USB wifi adapter. This can be used by two apps
on the TV: one for playing from a media server on PC (like TVersity) and
the
other is for playing from Youtube. Using the "pair" to TV option on Youtube
I can search and control with my laptop youtube videos on the flatscreen
TV.
This works fine, but it is of course limited to Youtube.
I would also like to be able to play other sources from internet on the
mentioned TV, like http://www.npo.nl/uitzending-gemist. This is a service
to
watch TV programmes you missed. I have no way to do that. Until now I'm
limited to watching that on the computer screen. From your link I
understand
this also possible using Chromecast? After all it can stream anything from
internet, even the whole PC desktop?

NB I have no compatible mobile, only an old symbian telephone Noki E75.
