My newsreader uses an external editor, through which I can invoke spell

I have most curse words down pat

Your newsreader can't edit by itself? Oh dear.

Well, I do have to hit the letter F for follow-up, or P for post.
It opens the editor in the same full screen terminal window.
I edit the follow-up, save it, the editor closes, and goes back to the
thread/post view, I hit Y to send it.

It's really easy, legible to me more than any other newsreader, and that
all happens seemlessly. I don't see windows opening, closing.

I also have pan/knode ... put I heavily prefer slrn.

Would love to see a video of you using it. Not likely my cup of tea -- I
prefer three panel GUI clients -- but still would be interested.

Yeah, I know how that goes.
Google slrn, look at screen shots.
Not sure how many people run it in a transparent window fullscreen.
Easy enough to imagine, I suppose.

So you cannot show your use. OK.

Ok, I made you a screenshot.
Firefox is open on the right.
If you look hard, you are on the left
