Some time ago I installed Dashlane on my system. For a month or so it
appeared to work OK. Then I could no longer open it and it didnot
appear when I accessed wed sites. I though I would delete it and
perhaps reinstall it but when I do I get the message that I couldnot do
so because IE was open (It was no). Trying to reinstall if reulted in
the same message. I tried to get some help on the Dashlane web site but
could not post or get an answer because I do not have a twitter account
(and don't want one). Could there be some other means of getting rid of
this program?

Can you go directely to your Start menu, then in the "All Programs"
menu, find the Dashlane directory? Click on Dashlane and then click
on "Uninstaller" from there.

I did that. I get the same result there as trying to do an install
using the Remove Program application. It says it cannot proceed because
IE is open.

They have some suggestions here for "busy browsers". Basically use
Task Manager to see if the browser is still running.

Browsers generally also support options for running them
without add-ons or plugins loaded. Names like "Safe Mode"
and the like. That might be another way to test whether
you can release Dashlane from its clutches.
