Depends on how you tell them. "You ought to do it this way" doesn't
work, obviously. "Here's another way of doing what you want, may be
easier for you" usually does.

Try Opening the file with the free LibreOffice.
It worked for me.

Yes it's looks good here.
You can probably do anything in Libre Draw that Publisher can.
You'll have a little learning curve.
