Default Does anyone have the solution to stopping FileZilla from phoning home?

I'm certainly grateful to hear about serious
bugs with patches, but so far I've only
heard vague warnings and scolding, along with
your position that people should always be in
a general habit of auto-updating.

Since my use model is exclusively on my LAN, I'm less worried about what
Jonathan and Neil seem to be more worried about, but where I agree even so
with Mayana's point, which was the same as my point.

There are two kinds of we old men.
a. Those who update because of an effuse "promise" of some sort of safety,
b. Those who update when there is an actual known benefit of safety.

In my case, I update if and when I want to, and even then, only if there is
a compelling reason that is an actual known fact.

I have nothing against those who update on faith, as long as they don't
spout bull about the update being safe, if they can't name an actual threat
that is being protected against that is has a statistically valid
probability of occurring.
