Default Does anyone have the solution to stopping FileZilla from phoning home?

As well a the risk involved in the use of the app. I don't care so much
about patches to apps that primarily involve off-line uses. However, FZ
is ONLY used for on-line connections to servers and file transfers, and
as such is a prime target for hacking exploits. The fixes that I read
address this (and occasional expanded capability, which is less
important to me). You can ignore that risk if you wish, and I'll
continue to accept the updates.

Neil brings up a good point about FileZilla being *sometimes* used for
on-line activities, but, as it turns out, at least for me, FileZilla serves
absolutely zero on-line purposes for me.

I don't know of a single FTP site that I have login credentials for.

What I use FileZilla for, exclusively, is to access the entire available
file system of my mobile phones.

So while FileZilla certainly *can* be used for online purposes, my use
model is 100% offine (on my own LAN) to access all the mobile devices on my
LAN (all of which run FTP servers).

So this sentence needs to be fixed a bit for accuracy:
"FZ is ONLY used for on-line connections to servers and file transfers,
and as such is a prime target for hacking exploits."

To something more accurate, such as:
"FileZilla "can" be used for on-line connections, but it can also be
used for local LAN connections"
