Default Has anyone *not* gotten the 1809 update yet?

Obviously it's a highly controversial upgrade, maybe it's best to not
ever upgrade to it, but Microsoft is already talking about the 1904
upgrade. I haven't been offered this upgrade yet. Microsoft usually
doesn't allow an upgrade between two non-adjacent versions. Just
concerned that I may get stuck on 1803 forever, or I'm going to be
offered the 1809 just weeks before 1904 is offered to me, and I'd
have to go through two major upgrades soon after each other.

My Win10s are still on 1803. As I see it, they work reliably and as a
result I also can work. If a newer version such as 1904 brings
something to the table that I can't do without, I'd get a computer
known to be compatible with that version. But, I don't see anything
like that in 1809, so...

I find it to be more stable.

More stable than what?

than the version he was using before, most likely 1803.

Given the exponentially wide range of hardware,
firmware and system configurations I doubt that there is a general
stability factor between any one Win10 version and all of them.

there is, but nothing is perfect and there will always be *some*
problems. overall, successive versions bring improvements, if nothing
else, security patches. not upgrading puts yourself and others at risk.
