Being knowledgeable about car engines doesn't magically make him

I don't have "Show all filename extensions" checked in Finder
preferences, and I just downloaded the first two links in the forum
(noise_in_engine.mp4.pdf and audio_recording.wav.pdf), clicked the
filename of each, removed ".pdf", and the filenames were changed.
Simple. This whole "issue" seems to be a case of PEBKAC to me.
