Default can't boot to windows repair

I am trying to do a Windows XP repair. Have several tutorials
printed. I try to boot into either my original Win XP SP1 or Win XP
SP2 discs and I kept on booting up into my existing copy of Windows.
And YES, I have set the BIOS boot priority to the CD first.

How can I boot up from the CD instead of continuing to boot into the
existing copy of windows?

After you altered your boot order in the BIOS, did you save the changes?
(My guess is you didn't.)

Assuming both CDs are fine, perhaps there is something wrong with the
CD-ROM drive or a connecting cable.

Or maybe there is a problem with the keyboard. If you are able to
successfully boot off the CD, you should see a screen that looks like
this:

Do you get that screen?

If so, remember to press the "any" key. ;-)

If pressing any key doesn't work, try another keyboard.

BTW, why are you performing the Repair Install. Still damage due to the
trojans? If so, you may still have trojans (or other malware) in your
system that are undetectable. If so, a Repair Install will not help you.
