Just so I'm clear, the Fax Console works fine but the Fax Monitor only works
sporadically? Anything in Event Viewer?

Like I said in my previous posts, the fax monitor has only worked on two
occasions, out of the blue. The most recent being the other day. Then just
as mysteriously, it stopped working the next day when I started up my
computer. Maybe (if and when) the next time it decides to work or pop up I
won't shut down my computer in the evening.
