In article , says...
There is no "arrow" on the bottom left when switched to W-10 Start menu.
Start and a Task View icon is all that's there.
The "arrow" is the flyout for "show hidden icons"
To enable or disable it...
Right click taskbar.
Select taskbar settings.
In the notification area:
Click "Select which icons appear on the taskbar".
If the first item: Always show etc... is set to on, then you will not
see the flyout
Select off to show the the flyout, then find
"Windows Explorer Safely remove hardware and eject media"
in the list and turn that on.
It shows it is turned on but it is not THERE on the flyout. It's not on the
taskbar either.
The safely remove icon should now be in the flyout or on the taskbar and
you can drag and drop the icon between those two locations.
This works in a totally stock Win 10 installation, if it is not
available on yours, I would look to classic shell or some other
customisation as the culprit.
It worked fine for a few weeks after installing Classic Shell. Then it
suddenly wasn't there.
Please try not to use descriptions such as
"arrow" on the bottom left" as that only applies to your PC
Here is a screengrab of my desktop, can you find the left of the
taskbar?

Thanks. Do you know how I can find Safely remove Hardware, the actual
software, on my PC? Search and Agent Ransack can't find it. It's not under
apps or programs. Cortana found the icon but when I typed the info into
RUN, what it said to do, the icon did not appear. Nothing!
