I'm retired and am looking for a calendar based PIM to keep
track of appointments that I could use on my Windows 7 laptop.
I own MS Outlook but it is overkill especially as I do not use
it for email or anything else. Google calendar would work but
it is in the cloud and I would like something that I could keep
on my laptop and off the cloud.
Any suggestions?
Thank you. Jeff
I see you're using Thunderbird. Why don't you use Lightning? You
can get it he
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/cale.../download.html
It puts a calendar and tasks into Thunderbird.
Good suggestion. I just tried it and works for me. Also imports ics
files which is great.
Does it have a portable version for flash drive?
Yes, see (in Office section):
http://portableapps.com/apps
There are many other portable apps listed. Don't overdo it... ;-)
I love portable apps! I have PortableApps Thunderbird 2.0.0.24 and have
successfully installed an earlier version of Lightning. No problemo.
