Make sure the file associations in Windows and in Firefox are set to
your PDF reader.


I have been using Firefox on Windows 10 since it came out and Firefox
since the Netscape days. While in recent version Firefox handle PDF
files and Adobe Reader differently I can still click on a PDF link and
have the PDF file open.

Yes. They are completely different. One the reader is for documents,
in the same fashion that Wordperfect is for documents.

Flash is a format for putting content on the web.
