You could if you used a video editor, rather than an archive program.
Then the chunks would themselves be playable video files.


That would be a heckuva way to watch a movie. :-) Back in the days of
movie theaters using actual film on reels, I used to watch for the cue
mark and then the subsequent reel change about 10 seconds later. Most
projector operators were pretty good about getting the timing right, but
every now and then it'd be completely bungled.
