As far as XP itself goes, there should only be something in that if the
OP was using FAT32, but he's using NTFS, and even W98+ and W2k could
handle disks/partitions up to 128GB, and after the addition of a
registry setting that wasn't installed by default, W2k could match XP,
2003, & Vista in going up to 2TB. So with NTFS there really shouldn't
be a problem.

However, if it's a really old PC, I suppose there might be a BIOS
limitation, which might possibly be cured by a later firmware.
