Blu Ray disks purchased at local Best Buy (U.S.A.)

Get message
"Cannot play due to disk restrictions".

e.g. one Blu Ray will not play at all
except for all the preview stuff and the where I would push play.

On another it plays the release version but not extended cut version
with the same restricted message.

Where do I go to find out what I am doing wrong ?

I am 75 yo and struggling with this.
