Default Can you "hide" an flash drive's drive letter?

Hi All,

I can not do this myself as I am running virtual machine
and it mounts USB drive in an unusual manner.

Can you "hide" (remove) a flash drive's drive letter, remove
the drive, then reinstall the drive, and have Windows 7 still
honor the request that the drive be hidden?

I am hoping Windows reads the UUID and uses that to honor
the request each time it is inserted.

Many thanks,

Is there a particular reason you want the drive to remain hidden? And,
do you mean no drive letter assigned or something else?
