Default Service pack 1a

JUPITER, I'm not really sure what I mean but my computer came with SP1 and I
believe I added SP1a later. Add-Remove shows WINDOWS XP SERVICE PACK 1A by
name along with a couple that refer to Hotfix SP2 along with other KB
entries. Maybe I am chasing something I don't need to. Thanks for all your
efforts---Frank

I am not sure what you mean?
Are they both listed in Add/Remove Programs?

Jupiter, Once again thanks- I may be pushing the point but can I

then safely
delete the 1a and be able to keep SP1?

I am not sure about "recommend", but there is no point if you have

one
installing the other.

Try this for the slowdown:

Thanks Jupiter-I read somewhere that MS does not recommend
installing SP1a
if one has SP1 already installed. Could the overwrite have

caused a
slowdown of operation -- Thanks again,Frank

Frank;
You can't have both since the installation of one overwrites

the
files
of the other.

Is it bad to have both SP1 and SP1A installed on my
computer?
