can't install Epson Stylus C62
I recently bought a brand new Dell with Windows XP. I
tried to install my new Epson Stylus C62, but am having a strange problem. The computer cannot seem to recognize that the printer is plugged in. I have tried both parallel and USB ports. I have tried manually installing, as well as through the CD that comes with the printer. I have downloaded the XP service packs to no avail. I have tried everything that Dell Customer Service told me to try (which were the things that I had already tried as mentioned above). The computer has no trouble recognizing the mouse that is plugged in the other USB port, but when I tried plugging the printer into that port, the computer once again said that I couldn't detect any printer. I'm at the end of my rope - not to mention the final semester at University, where a printer really is a necessity! HELP! |

can't install Epson Stylus C62
First of all disconnect the printer and uninstall anything that might have
been installed. The correct procedure with a USB printer is to install the software BEFORE connecting the printer... the software will tell you when to unisntall. Follow http://www.coribright.com/Windows/Article%20One.htm You'll find updated drivers at www.epson.com Cari www.coribright.com "D" wrote in message ... Epson Stylus C62
Uninstall and reinstall using
http://www.coribright.com/Windows/Article%20One.htm -- Cari (MS-MVP Windows Client - Printing, Imaging & Hardware) www.coribright.com "Al Gorfa" wrote in message ... Have just purchased a new computer which has windows xp home edition installed, however I cannot print documents to the printer. Keeps telling me there is a connection problem, but the printer still works on my old windows programme. When I add printers through control panel, there is no epson c62 listed and the driver cd I have doesn't always work. Is this printer not compatible with windows xp home edition. Any help would be great as I could be here for days trying to work it out. |
