Original Windows
People with no credentials to use Windows must wait for new release or have
to go for android tablet? This question causes me curiosity because I had Microsoft credentials and password now I don't know If they accept my question about this network. They said it would be free for a year but only for people who has password for Microsoft email. So I'm with local account and they ask for Microsoft id or contract is over. Even if I order Windows DVD they need the hardware configuration to be sure if it has the minimal requirements even if we are in another country, we need phone number and address and real name. In the other hand android tablet is easier to purchase and get network replies. Maybe this is not crucial but I like Windows to keep trying to understand online business and android tablet has good mobile phones but in terms of usability I still like Windows software. Thanks |

Thanks It is my understanding if you have Windows 7 or 8, all you have to do is go to the online site, download, and install Windows 10. Here is the site to answer all of your questions. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...grade-activate This is the site to get Windows 10 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10 |

Here is the site to answer all of your questions. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...grade-activate This is the site to get Windows 10 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10 Like Keith has indicated, if you have a PC that is working with a valid license for either Windows 7 or Windows 8 you do have the option of upgrading for free to Windows 10. There is no need to order a Windows 10 DVD if your system is currently running Windows 7 or 8. You can upgrade directly from the Microsoft update website. You can even download your own copy of the DVD (in ISO format) that you can burn to a DVD on your machine if it has a DVD burner. For some, if your PC is running W7 or W8 you might have to run a Microsoft update on the old version first, but if you have been doing routine Microsoft updates that should not be a problem. The free upgrade can be done by you even if you do not have a Microsoft email address. All of my systems that were upgraded to W10 at this time are using just a local account. It is a little more bother to upgrade with out a Microsoft Email address but there are valid (legal) ways to install the upgrade with out one. You just have to know when and where to tell the upgrade to skip or ignore that "feature" when the question comes up. With all the above said, there are still people using W7 or W8, like some laptops, where the PC vendor has not released W10 drivers yet. In some cases the vender has come out and said they do not plan to provide drivers for some of their older devices. For those machines you have to decide if it is worth the bother to upgrade them. It is always best if you have the capability to do an Image or Clone copy of your existing system to another hard drive prior to starting any W10 upgrade just in case your machine is one of those that just does not work properly with Windows 10 (as in missing drivers and such). That way you can use the clone to go back to what did work if all else fails. |
