Thanks for the speedy reply......The CD contains only a
USB2 driver for Windows 98SE & Windows 2000. The drive is designed for XP so I assume that any driver will be automatically assigned. Surely, the drive must have come with a driver cd? -----Original Message----- When connecting an external hard disk to my laptop using a firewire card, the computer does not see the drive. The drive supports both USB 2 and firewire connections. The laptop PCMCIA card works fine with other ieee 1394 devices however not the disk drive. The same disk works fine when connected to a second PC with USB 2 however not my laptop. Is this a BIOS/settings thing or is the drive at fault. . . |
