Default Device manager

Hi everyone I have a dell dimension 3100c and it is running unbelievable slow, I have noticed that in my device manager then processors I have the same processor listed twice, would this have any effect on the speed??

From the manual:

If Hyper-Threading is enabled, the processor is listed twice.

For more information on Hyper-Threading, search the Knowledge Base on
the Dell Support website at support.dell.com

Furthermore, regarding the slowness of your PC, check out one or both of
the following sites:

http://securitytango.com/tango.php

http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/slowcom.htm

Major causes of lagging are malware, not enough memory/too many apps
running, and failure to clear always temp files (which should often be
followed by defragmenting the hard drive).

If you have no joy using the above two Web pages, post back with as much
information as possible on your PC (specs, amount of free space, etc.).
