Default Removing Firefox

I have firefox installed on my system. I'm running Windows XP.
I had my system worked on by a tech guy and he installed Firefox because
my IE was playing up.
I don't want Firefox in my system and I want to reinstall IE7.
Basically, I want delete my old copy of IE7 and Firefox and reinstall a fresh copy of IE7.

I want to do this myself. How do I do this, can you give me some advice?
I have a legitimate copy of Windows disk.
Please.

Lynn.

Beside the previously replied info, you may have to uninstall SP3
before removing / reinstalling IE 7 / 8, if the SP3 was install
"after" installing IE 7 / 8. SP3 is known to "lock" the lowest
version of Internet Explorer (IE) to the version installed at the time
SP3 is installed.

There will only be an entry if SP3 was installed after XP was
previously installed. If the XP came with SP3 "preinstalled" it will
not show up in Add / Remove Programs.
