Default XP Home keeps rebooting itself

Few days ago it began, Boots up to Logon screen, then
shuts down and reboots, continuously. My 12 year old did
a "Last Known Good..." boot before I could intervene...
Any ideas?

Look in Event Viewer for a description of whatever caused the problem.

Do you have any idea of what might be the cause? Made any changes to your
computer at all? If you are really at a loss then the only thing you can do
is reinstall Windows.

If you are unable to boot into Windows at all, even in Safe Mode or
"last known good configuration", then your next option would be to do
a Repair Install as per the instructions at
http://michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

A Repair Install will preserve your user data files, installed
applications, and program configuration settings. However all Windows
Updates will have to be reinstalled and you could therefore be
vulnerable to Blaster/Sasser virus infections when you first connect
to the Internet.

If your Windows XP is on a "system recovery" CD or partition rather
than an installation CD then it may not be possible to do a Repair
Install and you may have to use the "system recovery" CD which will
likely wipe out everything and replace it with a factory-fresh copy of
Windows XP. Post a response back here if this is the case and if you
have important data that needs to be recovered from the computer.

Good luck
