How Do I delete Folders & Files
Try this: I had the same problem, and It worked for me.
(1) right click on the folder, then click on PROPERTIES (2) Click on the SHARING tab, then check the box that says "make this folder private". Cick on OK. (3) the computer will ask you if you want to create a password. Click on NO. (4) now delete the folder. it should work. Jim Adams -----Original Message----- I just installed WindowsXP and there are some folders I would like to delete. Each time I try to delete a fold, the screen says it is, " in use by another person or program" I am the only one using the computer and am not using this program nor am I using practically any other program. I have changed these file Properities from "Read Only" to "Archive" and still no luck. One of the probgrams I want to delete is, "Outlook Express". It is not listed in "Add and remove problems" Please help, Mike PS: I didn't put in the name of an Administrator and I put in "Mike" as the only user. . |
