unable to load service pack and usb problems
got a problem with microsoft xp recognizing the four 2.0
usb ports and tried to download service pack and it says my copy of xp is illegal. i have the disc and the box it came in how do i get it to recognize that my copy is legit , i have a lot of things on this computer i dont want to have to format my drive and reload windows |

If the stuff you have is so valuable, it's probably worth buying another HDD (they are not expensive these days), copying everything you want to keep onto it then booting from the XP CD and doing a repair install. Call MS about possible illegitimate copy of XP.
