Default printing problems after installing XP2

I too have a Canon printer, MP F50. After installing XP2 I could not
maintain a connection between my computer and printer. I tried reinstalling
three times and still the problem persisted. The only thing that fixed it
was restoring back to the previous configuration prior to installing XP2.
Looks like Microsoft needs to find a fix for XP2 that will allow Canon
printers to work.

No, Canon are rewriting their drivers. Contact them.

There is a qfe available for this. It's in tcpip.sys.

Programs that connect to IP addresses that are in the loopback address range
may not work as you expect in Windows XP Service Pack 2

Default printing problems after installing XP2

I'm using an XP machine on a network and I can't print to my HP printer too,
after SP2.

I've tried everything. Called Dell and they tell me I have to reinstall
XP!!! This is NUTS!

XP home on cat5 to LS router to HP print server to HP 6P. Every other
computer on the network that did NOT upgrade to SP2 works.

Please tell me this is not happening we just spent a ton of money to move to
XP. Is there a fix to this? PLEASE HELP!
