Default Non-destructive NTFS partition resize on Win XP?

A friend of mine had a query, so I thought of posting it here..

Just got my new lappy :-)
I chose a Pentium-M (Dothan) 1.6 and am quite happy with the
performance which is on par if not better than my desktop for most
apps....

Coming to my query, the issue is that it has a single 60 GB parititon
on the HDD and I definitely want to divide it to at least 2
partitions....

Is there any freeware partiton utility that lets me do this within the
win32 environment...Partition Magic is one such s/w but it isn't
free....

If not, then what is the best command line utility to do the same?

Thanks in advance
