Default Cannot Delete File

Have you tried rebooting and deleting from safe mode? Or
maybe deleting it with command prompt (dos emulator)

Hello,

I created a network folder and using a new scanner, place

documents into it.
I created a .jpg and some .pdf files. I then attempted

to delete the .pdf
files and was given a sharing error. The server is XP and

this particular
workstation is Win2000.

On my new machine (XP) I attempted to delete the files

with the same error.
I have admin rights. I then opened the remote server

screen and was unable
to delete the files.

I went back to the original machine and tried to delete

the folder. The
..pdf files were deleted, but I cannot delete the .jpg

file. I check the
porperties and there are no restrictions. The file was

allowed access by
the Everyone group. I logged on to the win2000 machine as

myself and added
Administrators to the .jpg files and still could not

delete that file.

This is frustrating. Can someone come up with a solution?

God Bless,

Mark A. Sam

Default Cannot Delete File

Hello Michael,

I booted up this morning and tried and was able to delete the folder. Is
there a protocol that a person needs to reboot to remove a folder, or is
this just another of the millions of quirks in Microsoft products. Sheesh.

God Bless,

Mark
