Random STOP Exceptions on WinXP SP2
My system behaviour is really weird! At times, my system runs for days
without a glitch, but at times, it keeps on generating random STOP exceptions such as DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA and so on... Recently (1 month) my system started throwing up BAD_POOL_HEADER repeatedly! I've checked every sub-system (Storage, Memory, GPU, APU, Mobo), but could not find any problem! What's driving me up the wall is the frequency of the STOP exceptions! It's totally RANDOM! I currently own an AMD Athlon XP 2000+ based system w/ 2 x 512MB Hynix DDR333 RAM modules working in dual-channel DDR266 config, all sitting on a Biostar M7NCG400 (nForce2-400) mobo. Storage consists of an 80GB Seagate Barracuda ATA100 HDD (8MB Buffer) + a 250GB Maxtor DiamondMax 10 ATA133 HDD (16MB Buffer). Graphics and audio are handled by an XFX GeForce 6200 (NV44A) and an SBLive!. I did consider power supply problems. My SMPS has the following ratings. +3.3V:28A, +5V:30A, +12V:15A, -5V:0.3A, -12V:0.8A, +5VSB:2A That's roughly 280W, which seems *okay* for my rig, right? |

Random STOP Exceptions on WinXP SP2
Do a search for Debugging Tools on the Microsoft Site. Install the
documentation and open the Debuggin Help. Contained in the file is a list of all the STOP bugcheck codes and meanings. Most of them include probable causes. Can't think of anything more helpful "King Jeremy" wrote: My system behaviour is really weird!
