Missing Print Drivers on XP

It's not preinstalled, it's included on the XP CD.

Can anyone tell me why if I have the disk for my printer
that XP can't read the drivers? I went to the Epson
site, they said that I needed to go to MSN, I did, but
couldn't find any appropriate downloads for this
problem. Please, if you can help me, I'd really
appreciate it. It is either that, or I will have to wipe
this harddrive of XP and go back to '98 so I can get some
work done.
