I have done it with 7 and 8 without consequence, but if it's already installing, I'd certainly NOT shut it down. Hard to tell what will happen then. If at all possible, I would err on the side of caution and let it finish downloading and installing. You could then shut down on the reboot, and when you turn it back on, it will finish the installation. -- SC Tom
