Default acces user account using windows explorer

After restoring two system files with the system recovery
cd for windows xp home edition the user accounts on the
desktop dissappeared.

Allthough I can see the directory and the data files in the
folders of the user accounts with windows explorer, I
cannot acces the directory/account that used a password.
The error message I receive is "acces denied" when I click
on the folder. When I right click on it I get the folders
properties menu but do not see any useful way to gain the
permission I need to acces the folder.

Please advise or forward this mail to someone who can.
