Default Can't burn a CD

I am trying to burn a CD with my Compaq d530s small form-factor desktop, and
it will go through the process of burning but after hanging up for about 1
minute, errors out and says it can't burn the CD. I am using a Liteon
LTR-482465 and I checked event viewer.

This was the message:

The device, \Device\Ide\IdePort1, did not respond within the timeout period.

Any ideas? I'm running XP Pro
