Default Multiple desktops?

I want a 2nd and a 3rd to store icons from previous backups.

But these extra desktops do not show up in File Explorer. How are
they to be accessed ?

Try shoving your dick way up the president's
ass without grease, and see if that helps the
situation.

Multiple Windows 10 desktops are extra places to put open windows. They
are not extra places to store icons or other files.

All your Windows 10 desktops share a single desktop folder in File
Explorer.

Thanks, I just want to store the desktop icons of past systems, mainly
to remember the names of some rare apps I used in the past. The name
of a particular fast and effective duplicate image finder & remover
still eludes me.

Perhaps a hack, but it's rather easy to add an extra folder to your
Programs folder and hide [1] that folder. So it's there, but out of
sight.

When you want to access your old desktop icons (read Shortcuts), you
just do:

Programs - right-click - Open

and your hidden folder will be shown (assuming you have set 'Show hidden
files, folders and drives' in File Explorer).

[1] Right-click on folder - Properties - tick 'Hidden'.

Is it possible he wants something like the linux X desktops which you
can have as many of as you want specified by an n x m grid? I have mine
set up 2x2 and I get to the others just by moving my mouse to an edge.
I like having several programs set up all the time so I can just move
over to them without disrupting the others.

Back in one of the previous windows versions there was a 'toy' (I think)
that did something like that, but you had to click on the grid down at
the bottom of the screen to move among them.

Is this what you told him how to do? I don't use windows7 much any
more, and never win10.

ctrl+alt+right/left arrows do desktop switching in Mate and other Linux
desktops.

I think something very similar works in Win-10-nic but I forget the
actual key combination - maybe ctrl+alt+pgup/down ?

CTRL + Windows key, then left and right arrows.
