Default Unable to print to PDF & XPS files on my work's W10 EE lappy.

Hello.

On my work's three months old Lenovo Thinkpad P50 laptop/notebook with
IT's updated 64-bit Windows 10 Enterprise Edition (all updates beside
anniversary pack), I am unable to use its PDF and XPS printer drivers.
Even though listed in the control panel's printer list, sometimes they
do not show up in the softwares' print options. I tried to delete PDF
printer, but now I can't reinstall it. IT doesn't know why.

How do I fix this? Thank you in advance.

While I know of Windows Features, I never
would have guessed a print driver lives in there.

This article has some weirdness to offer.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2734782

dism /online /enable-feature... --- like a tick box in Windows Features ?

dism /online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth --- fix all of WinSXS

No idea if that's going to help.

Maybe you find some other references to it.

The second command repairs the component store, potentially
using downloads from Microsoft to repair damage. The component
store is WinSXS, and the methodology is called Component
Based Servicing (CBS). Particular "things" in WinSXS
are hard-linked into System32. And that's how your
OS is constructed, from maintainable components.

I think when you do "sfc /scannow", that checks System32.
Whereas if you use DISM as in the example above, it
works on WinSXS (the source of the components0.

I see only one screen ...

Um, I see two. Re(resh/load) the web page?

Of course, I haven't tested the solution...

Do you have followed carefully the guide?

Not yet. Is that safe to do? I find it weird to see it is or not .NET
issue?

IT's Xerox softwares were conflicting and they confirmed there's a
reproducable problem that they are trying to fix since others see it
too. I did manage to fix the issues myself by booting to Windows with
disabled non-MS services and startups. I was able to reinstall the print
to local files and print in both basic and normal modes. I also shared
this tip with IT. I really hate it when they put all these craps (like
OEM!) in the machines that I don't need (Xerox for me working from home
100%? :P).
