I upgraded my windows ME with Windows XP
each time I use exell or word, windows installer tries to install office xp
small business which I do not have
can I remove that request using the windows installer clean up utility with
no risk?
what does xp small business provide? should I get it?

Word, Excel, etc *IS* Office. If you don't have the SBE, what version /do/
you have?! Office XP SBE was OEM only and, as such, was only provided with a
new system. You must have some version of Office if you have Office
applications as no version of Windows has ever included them.

It's cause some of the features your trying to use are not installed on your
pc, and you need to insert the cd to install those features, I suggest you
get the office xp install cd, no need to get the full blown version, unless
you can afford it, just the one that has your currently installed programs ie
word/accell/etc...
