Default fragmented system vol info files

Dennis, have you tried the built-in defrag? Stop Norton
and all other progs. Run Diskscan then disk cleanup and
then run the defrag after you have eliminated all
extraneous files. If the analyze on the XP says you do
not need a defrag, then this is not the problem; it lies
in the painfully slow Norton program. Give XP a chance to
put its own house in order. GOOD LUCK
-----Original Message-----
Using XP Home I constantly have System Volume
Information\_restore files massively scattered all over
drive C. Norton SpeedDisk has a hard job trying to
defrag them. Does it have to be this way? Can an area
be designated to store them contiguously? Any info
please.
