Default Firewall

ok, this prob has always come up, i am behind a firewall
that is in my router, can u give me a link to an old
message that has info i could use or just tell me here. I
have read up a bit on it, but im not sure if i can just
open ports and what not..I am using xp home, nortan
internet security (which allows file transfers) and a
Belkin Router. Thnx, anyone containg info please help...

Greetings Weir,

A number of Belkin routers do seem to have some sort of built-in Messenger support, usually
activated by putting your computer into the DMZ of the router (see the routers documentation
on how to do this).

Note to everyone else: The Belkin routers are somewhat rare in this regard, DMZ will *NOT*
allow file transfers on every routers/NAT device.
