Default No Sound

I just download Windows Xp pro again and for some reason my sound isnt
working.Everytime i try to play something on media player this is what comes
up "Cannot playback the audio Stream:No hardware available or the hardware is
not responding"This is unusual since my soundcard was perfectly fine upon
installing the window Xp.I've tried downloading several driver softwares but
since i dont know the actual driver manuafature ive had no luck.Any ideas or
comments would be much appreciated.

Also you're going to want to right click on My Computer, Properties, then
the Hardware tab and click on Device Manager. Check if there are any
problems going on, normally indicated by a yellow exclimation mark.
