Default Neew help with a SATA drive on a XP/Pro PC

My PC has win XP Pro/SP3. My c: hard drive is actually 2 hard drives
(150GB ea) mirrored together using a RAID-1 controller. I need some
advice concerning replacing a bad hard drive.

Basically, I want to know if both hard drives in a RAID-1
configuration have to be identical, or if a replacement drive can be
larger than the remaining good drive.

This is probably the wrong news group to ask for help, so if I have
asked in the wrong place, please direct me to a more appropriate news
group.
