Default Need help with VPN

I followed the VPN Server setup instructions on the following web site but I
still cannot connect from a client computer (it just times out). Not certain
if my problem is on the server side or client side.

When I go to Control Panel, Network Connections, and look at the properties
for "Incoming Connections", it only shows Direct Parallel (LPT1) under
devices. This box is unchecked but no other device is shown for "Allow
incoming connections on these devices".

Yes, I forwarded port 1723.

Suggestions greatly appreciated.
