Default Remove Boot option screen help

I just replaced my System drive with a new WD 500 Gig using the copy
application supplied on disk. While all went well on this WinXP Pro OS I now
see a screen that asks me to select which OS to boot into before the count
down is done. I only have one OS and need rid of this annoying part of the
process. Can someone please tell me how this might be done?

Thanks

J.

Graphically:

From within WinXP, Start Run Msconfig, Boot.ini Tab "Check
all Boot Paths."

Manually:

1) Click Start Run, Type "Cmd" and then press Enter.

2) Type "Cd\" and then press Enter

3) Type "Attrib C:\Boot.ini -h -r -s" and then press Enter

4) Click Start Run, Type "Notepad c:\boot.ini" and then press Enter

5) Edit the file to removed the extraneous line, save it, and then exit
Notepad.

6) Type "Attrib C:\Boot.ini +h +r +s" and then press Enter

7) Close the command console.

Thanks for the help Bruce. I added this line to the file
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Micro soft Windows XP
Professional" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn

I also found that Msconfig did not display for some reason. It shows in a
search but will not load no matter what I do. Do you know how to fix this?

Thanks.

J.
