Default Windows XP SP2

I have Windows XP SP2 installed, and I recently bought a
digital camera. To use the webcam feature I need to have
SP1 installed, and with SP2 it doesn't work, so I thought
may be I need to open a port or something.......

I cannot even install the digital camera as webcam, so
any help with this is welcome. Thanks.

It's probably a badly written "Version Trap". Many vendors
require software at a certain revision level. However, when
they write the trap they don't take into account a possibly
higher revision. Does the installation halt or are you saying it
cannot enumerate the Digcam and load the drivers. Also for
future reference it helps to mention the Vendor/Model info
for the device you're having difficulties with. Many times a
poster will have the same hardware, so add the info in your
post subject line. Because so many postings appear here on
a daily basis, the subject line is what many look at to decide
whether to read the post or not.

Of course you're posting about Windows XP. That is what this newsgroup is
for. But, as your heading gives no clue as to what your problem is, I will
not even read the post to find out. Something about SP2 I gather.
