Top line of icons, 6th over with the up/down arrow. Click on it and
change it to what you want.

Thanks, but that barely changes the spacing. 1.15 to 1.0.

How close do you want them? You can't get any closer than 1.0!

Sounds like you need a word processor with more than the bare essentials
that WordPad provides; LibreOffice is free ...

you type "google" in your web browser. At that point type, "How do I
close the spacing between lines in wordpad" the answer will
magically appear and you will have a sense of accomplishment that you
did it yourself as opposed to asking someone to do your work for you.

I manage to do it in MS Office Word 10 all the time. Unfortunately, I'm
the road w/o it.

This is a close example what 1.0 means in WP:

hello,

goodbye.

The same could be said to any enquirer, but some enquirers
prefer to make enquiries here on Usenet to discuss the issue
under enquiry. That's what Usenet is for; to discuss things.
Surely, even arrogant people like you understand that much?

And what makes you think that he will notice what you have written when
he can't notice this on the little window to select your choices?

Hi Bob.
Bob, have you actually tried to follow your instructions? If you did,
you would find that changing the line spacing in Word may not a
straightforward line-spacing procedure as you imply. For example, it may
NOT ONLY involve adjusting basic line spacing settings in Word, but also
may require changing the added "paragraph increments that can tend to
fixate in the mix. If you doubt it, try giving your sarcastic
instructions to someone else having the same problem, and see if your
suggestions "cure" the problem.

Bob, let me suggest that you cram it up your ass. Life's too short for
sarcastic notes like yours addressed to to someone having problems with
Word.

Hi Jim.

Who said anything about Word? Certainly not the OP.

I haven't given any instructions. I didn't ask any questions, either.
I responded to Satanic Mechanic's sarcastic instruction to Google
the answer to the enquiry.

Bob, let me suggest

No, I don't want your stupid suggestions, either.
