Default File & Folder properties

Due to servicepacks or security patches from MS I has
lost the display of the properties of a folder in
explorer. It is a handicap because I can not determine
how many bytes on mass storage are occupied with the file
in the folders.

Is there anyone who can tell me how to restore that
initial condition of my installed XP professional OS.

It is up to date in patches and servicepack's

Thank you for your investment in my problem

Will
