cannot view any drives in MY COMPUTER or EXPLORER

Default cannot view any drives in MY COMPUTER or EXPLORER

i have an advent 3418
system with xp home
and all the disc drives have
gone.
machine still boots up, can still use
internet can't save or open disc drives
any help would be great
