Default don't recognize dvd disc ( G: UNIT EMPTY)

I have asus notebook a2s with Mat****a UJDA 750 DVD/CDRW, the function cdrw
works but does not recognize a dvd disc( original movies dvd ). It gives a
messages of empty unit.It always worked fine until now.
Windows xp home with the latest upgrade and one care.

Default don't recognize dvd disc ( G: UNIT EMPTY)

DVD optical drives have two lasers, one for the CD side and one for the DVD
site. Sounds like the DVD laser has failed.
