Default What is this KBKB3024777 update?

It was just pushed down to my Win7 laptop and urged me to restart. I
find no explanation for it. The big Tuesday update just happened 2 days ago.

Multiple issues with last Tuesdays patches. Do this first.

Remove KB3004394 from Windows Updates and restart. It has caused numerous
issues.

Go to Windows Updates. It should be listed in Start | All Programs, or you
can find it in the Control Panel.

Click on View Update History and then Installed Updates. In the search bar
type in KB3004394. When it shows the update, right click on it and
Uninstall.

Microsoft has pulled the update so you don't have to worry about it coming
back.

If that doesn't fix it, remove them all.

Looks to me that KB3024777 uninstalled the KB3004394. So I don't have to
do anything.

I have my Windows Updates set to notify me when updates are available, and to
not install automatically. I received the notification for KB3024777, installed
it and it did not remove KB3004394 from my machine, it is still there in
addition to KB3024777.

One can click on the update if offered but not installed and click or
right click 'View Details or More Information' If installed, look under
Update History and rt click for the same options.

When looking you should be able to find this article

I just installed KBKB3024777 after the usual monthly updates and yes it
did remove KB 3004394 on three win 7 computers here.

KB 3004394 and KBKB3024777 both show in the Updates history listing but
when you go to the installed updates KB 3004394 is missing after
applying KBKB3024777.
KBKB3024777 is not in the installed updates either.

I have five more computers and one server to do yet.

I have it that way and that's why I was surprised to see the little
popup box urging me to restart the PC. So it installed it without asking
me first.

Strange, Maurice Helwig's post still doesn't show up on my screen.
