"Go/NoGo" on Thunderbird live links - SOLVED

First of all, thank you to all who replied. By piecing together info from several posts made back to the group on this topic, I was able to find a trail to the problem. In Tools/Options/Advanced/Advanced Configuration, I had to click on "Config Editor", then find this line: network.protocol-handler.external-default It was set to "False",and changing it to "True" brought my hyperlinks right back to life. Again, thanks to those who helped! Tony If you had replied in the thread to which this refers, it would help people know what you're talking about... -- Gene E. Bloch (Stumbling Bloch) |

I'm a little surprised it's set to False in the first place. Mine is set to True and True is the default for that settings. Someone would have to mess around to break it. I would say a Gremlin did that. They like flipping booleans around when you're not looking. Paul |
